Course Description:
This course on Brownfield remediation and redevelopment will focus on process, methodology, and desired outcomes, with a number of case studies to demonstrate the practical application of site assessment and remediation strategies and solutions for brownfield redevelopment in New York State. The presentation will also address environmental concerns and health benefits, site safety considerations, and community welfare for building residents and the neighboring public.

Stephen Malinowski, QEP, is a vice president for site assessment and remediation at AKRF. He has led these services for single- and mixed-use redevelopment projects throughout New York in coordination with regulatory oversight by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and New York City Office of Environmental Remediation. Stephen earned a degree in environmental science from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Adrianna Bosco is a technical director for site assessment and remediation at AKRF. She is experienced in the performance of Phase I and Phase II environmental site investigations and the monitoring and oversight of site remediation and construction projects. Adrianna earned a degree in environmental engineering from Manhattan College.
