ACEC New York and industry partners participated in a call with Comptroller Scott Stringer and his staff. The association expressed that it is critical for City agencies to expedite payments to avoid creating cash flow issues for firms. Richard Zetterlund, Chief Engineer in the Comptroller’s Office said that he spoke with the agencies’ Engineering Audit Officers yesterday and they are continuing to process payments within the 30-day deadline set in the City’s PPB rules. Initially agencies experienced some issues related to paper processes, but those were addressed and agencies are expected to continue payments processing. ACEC New York will continue communicating with the Comptroller’s Office based on feedback and reports from member firms.
