BCA Architects & Engineers announced a new Owner in the Engineering Department: Michael L. Churchill, P.E., Director of Aviation.

C&S Companies welcomed Chuck Pietra as the company’s civil CAD manager.

CHA announced that it acquired Daedalus Projects, Inc. (Daedalus), a project and construction management firm based in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. 

The Chazen Companies announced two new hires for its offices in the Capital Region and North Country: Franklin Meade, EIT as an Assistant Project Engineer and Taylor Wells as a Survey Technician. The Chazen Companies also announced that Stacey Kurian has passed the Principals of Engineering (PE) Exam.

Dewberry announced that Todd Yanoff, PE, has joined the firm as a vice president and department manager of the water/wastewater construction services group in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.

Hardesty & Hanover announced the acquisition of Frederick P. Clark Associates of Rye, New York and Fairfield, CT.

Lilker Associates Consulting Engineers has promoted seven design and engineering professionals in its New York office: Gregory Socrates, CEM, to Associate Principal; Alina Zaccarelli to Senior Associate; Andre Forte to Associate, Mechanical; Suzie Lee to Associate, Lilker Lighting Group (LLG); Peter Benesk to Senior Engineer, Mechanical; Lucian Varga, to Project Engineer, Mechanical; and Gabriela Fernandez de Bulnes to Senior Designer, Plumbing & Fire Protection.

McFarland Johnson announced the promotion of both Jeffrey Wood, CSDP and Thomas Kendrick, PE to the position of Vice President.

Passero Associates highlighted the following volunteer positions of their employees: Vice President and Civil Engineering Department Manager Jess Sudol, PE serves as a Member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Engineering Technology at Rochester Institute of Technology; CFO David Passero serves on the Board of Trustees for Bishop Kearney High School; Associate and Architectural Department Manager Peter Richard Wehner, AIA, LEED® AP BD+C has been elected to the Executive Committee of Board of Directors of American Institute of Architects New York State, serving as Secretary; Northeast Aviation Director Greg Topping, PE, serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Aviation Management Association; Senior Project Engineer Bryan Savage, PE serves on the Unmanned Aircraft System committee for the New York Aviation Management Association; Senior Project Architect Steve Trobe, AIA, serves as a Board Member of SUNY Brockport SummerLEAP; Project Architect Timothy Geier, AIA serves as Membership Director on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Rochester Chapter Board of Directors; Project Architect Dustin Welch, AIA is entering his second year of service as Vice President of the ACE Mentor Program in Rochester, and his third year on the Board; and Project Engineer / Construction Inspector Matt Sinacola, NICET I serves as Chair to the Chili Drainage Committee in the Town of Chili.

Sam Schwartz Engineering announced that Frederick Wedley has joined the firm as Principal and National Transit and Rail Director; Greg Del Rio, PE has joined as Principal and Director of Special Projects; and Michael Shamma, PE has joined as Senior Vice President and Northeast Area Manager.

John Ponzio has been promoted to senior vice president of STV Group’s national systems practice.
