Jane Chmielinski has joined the board of directors of STV Group. STV Group also announced that Alexander Napoli, P.E., to vice president in the firm’s Transportation & Infrastructure Division, and Samir Eid, P.E., leader of STV’s long-standing and successful capital improvement program for New York City’s School Construction Authority (NYCSCA), has been promoted to senior vice president.
Kosal Krishnan has been named a senior vice president and national maritime leader for WSP USA.

Langan Engineering played a key role in preparing the Manhattan Cruise Terminal for the arrival of the USNS Comfort on March 30. Working closely with the US Army Corps of Engineers, New York Department of Environmental Conservation, New York Economic Development Council, and Skanska, the firm made sure the hospital ship could successfully dock and begin welcoming patients as soon as possible. Langan’s engineering team remained on site for six weeks to oversee the ongoing dredging and sediment management process.
LERA Consulting Structural Engineers (LERA) provided structural engineering services for the renovation of The Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC) at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, which opened recently. The lab, under David D. Ho, MD, ADARC’s founding scientific director and chief executive officer is now leading research into the COVID-19 coronavirus and the pursuit of a therapy or vaccine.
