2019-20 Committee List Now Live. The list of 2019-20 committees, including the most updated rosters for each, is now available. This document will be updated as changes occur. Committee terms began on August 1, 2019 and run through July 31, 2020. Welcome to all new committee members, and welcome back to all returning members.
Call for Building a Better Business Program. ACEC New York is offering members the opportunity to present a business program. These meetings will be held in conjunction with our quarterly Metro Region Membership Meetings and are an excellent way for our affiliate members to offer important information to our firms. 2020 Upstate Leadership Institute - Limited Registration Still Available. Registration for the 2020 Leadership Institute is now available! Two classes will be offered in New York City, and one class will be held in Syracuse, beginning in September 2019. Spots are filling quickly! NYS Engineering Career Fairs 2019-20. ACEC New York has prepared a list of 2019-20 dates for college and university career fairs throughout New York State. If you purchase branded promotional items for such events, consider our Promotional Products Program, which provides top-quality promotional items branded with your company’s logo and information at competitive rates. Please also consider downloading our flier and promoting the ACEC New York Scholarship program at your table. The application will be available in late September, 2019.
Attention! 2020 EEA Moderators Needed. Engineering Excellence judging is scheduled for October 30 in New York City. The Engineering Excellence Committee is seeking licensed design professionals to act as moderators for the competition. In advance of the judging, the Moderator receives copies of the entrant’s written and visual materials. Moderators prepare a presentation 5-7 minutes in length about the project to present to the judges. Each moderator receives 4-8 projects. If you would like to serve as a moderator, contact Erica Lavigne at email@example.com and indicate the category you are interested in moderating: (a) Studies, Research and Consulting Engineering Services, (b) Building/Technology Systems, (c) Structural Systems, (d) Surveying and Mapping Technology, (e) Environmental (f) Waste and Storm Water (g) Water Resources (h) Transportation (k) Energy and (l) Industrial and Manufacturing Processes and Facilities.

The Crain's New York Business list of Top Engineering firms has been released, and all but one of the top 20 engineering firms are members of ACEC New York. Call for Submissions! ACEC New York is looking for both technical and business programs to present as webinars. PDH webinars should be about one hour and should be technical in nature. Presenters earn 3 PDHs per 1-hour technical class the first time they present. Business webinars should also be about 1 hour and should provide information relevant to our membership (no sales pitches). Contact Erica Lavigne at firstname.lastname@example.org.
