Winter Conference 2019 - Still Time to Register, Hilton Hotel Room Block Closing 1/10. Registration for the annual ACEC New York Winter Conference is still available. The Winter Conference is the premier business event of the ACEC New York calendar. Over 300 professionals from the engineering industry attend this conference each year. The main program track caters to principals and other engineering professionals, with sessions featuring top people from state and city agencies and authorities. This conference also features two additional tracks with programming for CFOs/business managers and emerging leaders. NEW This Year: The Winter Conference will feature additional program track for HR personnel. The room block for the Renaissance is now closed. Rooms are still available at the Hilton Albany (room block closes this Thursday, January 10) and the Hampton Inn and Suites. Visit the event website for a full agenda and to register online.

Winter Conference: PAC Auction. A silent auction will take place during the 2019 Winter Conference, with proceeds benefiting the ACEC/PAC. If you have an item you would like to donate, contact Campbell Wallace at

New Program: Doing Business with the NYCDOT. On February 12, ACEC New York will hold a new program, Doing Business with the NYCDOT at the office of Wells Fargo in NYC. More information, including registration, will be available in the next week - check our website and your email for more information.

ACEC National Young Professional of the Year Award - Now Accepting Nominations. ACEC National is now accepting nominations for the Young Professional of the Year. Per the National guidelines, nominees for this award should be a PE at a current member firm that is under the age of 35. All nominations MUST be submitted to ACEC New York; we will be collecting all nominations and will determine two finalists that will be forwarded on to National. To apply, download the application and submit to no later than April 5, 2019.

Reminder: ACEC New York Scholarship Application and Donations Due January. The online application for students for the 2018-19 ACEC New York Scholarship is now available. Only students having completed either their third year of study (4-year program) or fourth year of study (5-year program) by June 2019 are eligible to receive the scholarship. Applications must be accompanied by a certified transcript and received at ACEC New York Headquarters by January 18, 2019. Additionally, donations to the Scholarship Fund must be paid by January 11, 2019.

Call for Submissions! ACEC New York is looking for both technical and business programs to present as webinars. PDH webinars should be about one hour and should be technical in nature. Presenters earn 3 PDHs per 1-hour technical class the first time they present. Business webinars should also be about 1 hour and should provide information relevant to our membership (no sales pitches). Contact Erica Lavigne at
