Attention! 2020 EEA Moderators Needed. Engineering Excellence judging is scheduled for October 30 in New York City. The Engineering Excellence Committee is seeking licensed design professionals to act as moderators for the competition. In advance of the judging, the Moderator receives copies of the entrant’s written and visual materials. Moderators prepare a presentation 5-7 minutes in length about the project to present to the judges. Each moderator receives 4-8 projects. If you would like to serve as a moderator, contact Erica Lavigne at erica@acecny.org and indicate the category you are interested in moderating: (a) Studies, Research and Consulting Engineering Services, (b) Building/Technology Systems, (c) Structural Systems, (d) Surveying and Mapping Technology, (e) Environmental (f) Waste and Storm Water (g) Water Resources (h) Transportation (k) Energy and (l) Industrial and Manufacturing Processes and Facilities.

Call for Programs - Building a Better Business. ACEC New York is offering Affiliate Members the opportunity to present a business program to our members. These meetings will be held in conjunction with our quarterly Metro Region Membership Meetings and are an excellent way for our affiliate members to offer important information to our firms. 2019-20 Committee List Updated. As a reminder, the list of 2019-20 committees, including the most updated rosters for each committee, is available on our website. This document will continue to be updated as changes occur. Committee terms began on August 1, 2019 and run through July 31, 2020.

Save the Date: Fall Conference 2020, September 13-15. The ACEC New York 2020 Fall Conference will take place at the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen, NY on September 13-15, 2020. Registration will be available closer to the event. Mark your calendars, and we'll see you next fall!


Continuing Education

Call for Submissions! ACEC New York is looking for both technical and business programs to present as webinars. PDH webinars should be about one hour and should be technical in nature. Presenters earn 3 PDHs per 1-hour technical class the first time they present. Business webinars should also be about 1 hour and should provide information relevant to our membership (no sales pitches). Contact Erica Lavigne at erica@acecny.org.
