January 29, 2018 Winter Conference Luncheon Keynote Speaker: Award-Winning Filmmaker Brett Culp.
Our 2018 Winter Conference Anniversary Luncheon keynote speaker will be acclaimed filmmaker Brett Culp. He is the personal cinematographer for Hollywood stars, music icons, beloved authors, hall of fame athletes, and royal families. His films are featured on Netflix, iTunes, Hulu, and other top digital platforms. Brett’s uplifting keynote speeches deliver practical methods for aligning teams behind a meaningful mission and creating growth through trust and genuine connectivity. NEW THIS YEAR: the conference will take place at our new downtown location in the new Capital Center and Renaissance Hotel. Brett Culp, an acclaimed filmmaker whose work has inspired audiences around the world, will be the keynote speaker during the Anniversary Luncheon on Monday, January 29.

Irwin Cantor Dies at 90. Irwin Cantor, a renowned NYC engineer and recipient of the ENR New York Legacy Award, passed away on November 7 at the age of 90. From the obituary: " He [Irwin] founded the Office of Irwin G. Cantor and the Cantor Seinuk Group, structural engineering firms responsible for numerous prominent high rise structures in Manhattan and around the world. After Irwin retired from the firm, he continued to be involved with the engineering profession through his work for the New York City Planning Commission. He was Commissioner for 20 years, also providing in-house consulting for Tishman Speyer in New York. Irwin was recognized by his peers with numerous professional and civic awards. NYPH18 Conference & Expo: Call for Papers. Until December 31st 2017, New York Passive House is accepting abstracts for the annual New York Passive House Conference & Expo (NYPH18). ACEC New York PDH Webinars

Call for Submissions! ACEC New York is looking for both technical and business programs to present as webinars. PDH webinars should be about one hour and should be technical in nature. Presenters earn 3 PDHs per 1-hour technical class the first time they present. Business webinars should also be about 1 hour and should provide information relevant to our membership (no sales pitches). Contact Erica Lavigne at erica@acecny.org.
